NCPA Condemns Mumbai Terrorist Attacks

Salam/Peace:

WASHINGTON: The National Council of Pakistani Americans (NCPA) condemns in the strongest possible terms the terrorist bombings of railway trains in Mumbai, India. The attacks left 174 dead and over 450 injured. There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the seven bomb explosions that took place within about 10 minutes during evening rush hour.

“Such heinous attacks on innocent people must be condemned with one voice by the entire humanity. These terrorist attacks, carried out apparently to achieve certain unknown goals, are attacks on the civilized world with no justification whatsoever,” said an NCPA statement.

“On behalf of Pakistani Americans, NCPA offers deep condolences to the people of India. As Americans and victims of terrorism themselves, we understand and share the pain and agony of the people of India at this hour of national mourning,” the NCPA statement added.

NCPA is a Washington-based educational and advocacy organization committed to promoting the involvement of the Pakistani American community in the mainstream social and political spheres.
